One of the things we do at PG is try and put "organic" gardening into perspective. It is not a mandate on healthy food, but it is the only way to reliably know that harmful material and practice have not been used in the production of your market foodstuff. By knowing your soil, utilizing compost, and experimenting with compost tea's you'll be well on your way to going green. This section touches on some of the methods utilized in organic gardening and on getting to know your soil. For a more in depth look at the history and ideology of organics refer to the Knowledge Tree under "Soil Info".
