Fluoridation
Municipal water fluoridation is a wasteful and potentially harmful practice that has been grandfathered into existence via industry subsidization and an overall lack of oversight into the materials we are deliberately exposing ourselves too on a daily basis. Fluoride is a known carcinogen and is listed on Wilmington's Water Quality Report as a "contaminant". There has not been a public vote on fluoridation in Wilmington, NC since 1955 and a call to City Water will make it very apparent that our city government is unaware of the policy it so gushingly endorses. If fluoridation provides the benefit claimed- prove it.

Hydro for Hunger
Hydro for Hunger is an initiative by participating independent hydroponics merchants in support of hunger relief organizations dedicated to reducing world hunger through the power of hydroponic gardening. Since 2002, Hydro for Hunger has raised over $20,000 to support the fight against world hunger through the sale of pre-determined products from our industry and donations from hydro merchants and concerned citizens. The 2005-06 Hydro For Hunger beneficiary is the Institute of Simplified Hydroponics (www.carbon.org). If you would like more information, or would like to contribute, please refer to the Hydro for Hunger website (www.hydroforhunger.org)

The Women of Hope Project

The Women of Hope Project is an organization by women for women to restore hope and dignity to women who have been oppressed, and denied personal freedom, health, opportunity and respect due to 23 years of war.

PG sponsors a Garden of Hope, which will provide a woman and her family all of the materials that she will need to build her own 10m2 Simplified Hydroponic garden with

all of the nutrient and seeds she will need for 6 months. Through this initiative we hope to increase awareness of the state of women's needs in Afghanistan, mobilize people to respond to the needs of oppressed women and their families, equip women with vocational opportunities, resources, and training, empower women by restoring dignity, ambition and the freedom to dream, provide educational and distance learning opportunities, and provide hopeless women with the hope of a future. If you would like to be involved please visit the Women of Hope website: http://www.womenofhopeproject.org

Sustainability
As our business grows we seek additional ways to implement our plan of creating a truly sustainable corporation—one that produces more than it consumes- for this is the end game on Earth. If people can find a way to bring balance to their currently voracious consumption we can all kick our feet up and realize the potential set before us. As we go we will continually update this section to reflect the progress we are making. Stay tuned!

Local Agriculture
One of the goals of PG is to implement local food systems into every community everywhere, so we're starting with our own. Here we will update customers who have taken the initiative to begin the transformation to local food production and any other relavent information regarding PG's involvement with the movement.
